I love birds and bird art. I also love Post Office cancellation marks, or stamps. Imagine my delight today when I found this discarded envelope from a reader to our sports department.
I have bought Forever stamps before. They’re great! (Why did it take us so long to come up with that concept? Increasing the prices of stamps always left us with a few we would either throw away because they weren’t enough to mail a letter, or we’d have to buy some penny stamps to make up the difference. That’s fine, but that would require us to go to the Post Office to buy them. A big pain.)
But I’ve never seen a Forever envelope before. It had the bird image printed right on the front. Not only is that convenient, but we can see the artwork better. I loved this image.
