Today is the 4th of July – and it rained all day long here. Hard rain, too. It was semi-cold outside, as well. Not like last year’s 4th where it was 106 degrees.
No pool. No lake. No boat ride. NO sunshine.
We did have some fireworks. They DO go off in the rain. That’s nice to know. And we had great food.
But mostly we stayed on the screened in porch and played Canasta. I’ve never played Canasta in my life, but Joe and I won in the end. It is a wild game, to say the least. Especially when you have family members involved.
