Field Level – Snapshot of the Day, No. 242

092413_242FieldLevelRWe took the day off from work today to do a few things around the house and then go down Atlanta for a Braves baseball game.

As usual, Joe deals with a guy on the street for tickets vs. going to the ticket window. After a couple of minutes, the guy realized we only had so much money and the game was about to begin. So he gave us a deal.

Jackpot! Look at these seats! And since they are season ticket holder seats, we got a discount on our snacks.

The Milwaukee Brewers took the lead at the beginning, but then the Braves came back and tied it. Then the Brewers went ahead again, only to be tied again later.

So, it’s the bottom of the 9th with 2 on and 2 out. Of course. Doesn’t every great baseball story start this way?

Well, you know what happens next. Andrelton Simmons hits one over the infielders’ heads – and the rest is history! The crowd was going crazy. The players were going crazy.

It was his third game-ending hit of the season.

It was a good night.
