But let’s be honest. The best part of the meal, by far, are the mashed potatoes.
What we like to do is make potato patties out of the mashed potatoes. I mix in garlic, crushed red pepper flakes, salt and pepper into the potatoes and then divide them into two separate balls.
Then I roll them in flour and flatten them out into 1/2 to 2/3 of an inch thick patties. Then I fry them in olive oil in a skillet for about 5 to 10 minutes.
I would have photographed them, but we ate them immediately. This is what was left over for the shot.
