I kept walking around the corner of this street and noticed people going through this door on a regular basis. Hmmm. It did not seem to belong to any particular business. The door to the coffeehouse, Chattz, was a different one – the one on the far left of the frame. I got tired ofContinue reading “The Hidden Door – Snapshot of the Day, No. 178”

Playing in the Peanut Barrel – Snapshot of the Day, No. 177
We went to lunch today at Logan’s Roadhouse, and I could not resist taking a photo of these two sisters playing in the peanut barrel. At one point, before their mother caught them, they were picking up the peanuts and pouring them all over their heads. Nice and appetizing! Meanwhile, on the TV screen, PhilContinue reading “Playing in the Peanut Barrel – Snapshot of the Day, No. 177”
Face in the Shadows – Snapshot of the Day, No. 176
Joe and I went for a 3-mile walk today around our neighborhood and we came across this face in the shadows. I thought it was pretty cool, so I shot a photo. Our walk is a good time for us to talk and see cool animals. We saw several deer on our walk today –Continue reading “Face in the Shadows – Snapshot of the Day, No. 176”
Found Titleist – Snapshot of the Day, No. 175
I was being eaten alive by insects while shooting this photo. It was taken in my in-laws’ backyard. We’ve had a very wet summer, so the mosquitoes are very prevalent. In other words, they’re everywhere and hungry.
Yes, We’re Open – Snapshot of the Day, No. 174
This little dog was inside Chad’s Records while watching people walk by on Frazier Avenue today. It must have been time for his nap. He could barely keep his eyes open.
Slippers in the Morning – Snapshot of the Day, No. 173
Ever since our tree hit our house, we have had new light coming into the kitchen in the morning. Well it was just a limb; albeit a pretty large one, but it definitely has affected the light in the kitchen. I thought it was pretty hitting my bedroom slippers this morning.
Pedestrian Bridge – Snapshot of the Day, No. 171
This was taken on the Ruth Holmberg Pedestrian Bridge near the Hunter Museum of American Art. Parts of it are clear plexiglass so you can see the cars going by below the bridge while you walk. This little boy was initially skeptical about crossing, but his father (I’m assuming) coaxed him along.
Reflections Of – Snapshot of the Day, No. 170
I had to run to Southeastern Salvage today for a prop for a photo and could not resist taking a photo of this mirror section. This warehouse has all kinds of stuff from all over the world – AND free popcorn and lemonade on the weekend. What more could you want?
Morning Self-Portrait – Snapshot of the Day, No. 168
The few minutes I have to myself each day is in the morning. I usually use that time to wake up, get rid of my daily caffeine headache and do various chores. This morning was no different – except I noticed I might be able to shoot my snapshot of the day early. Two self-portraitsContinue reading “Morning Self-Portrait – Snapshot of the Day, No. 168”
Bottles – Snapshot of the Day, No. 166
I was given these bottles years ago, but I recently found them packed away in a box – where they’ve been for the past four and a half years. I had forgotten I even had them. Which makes me wonder, if half of the stuff I own was gone, would I even miss it? ProbablyContinue reading “Bottles – Snapshot of the Day, No. 166”
