We have a small pond in our front yard with three comet goldfish. Well, a frog moved in last summer. Joe named him/her Jethro after the character in “The Beverly Hillbillies.” Jethro wanted to be a frog man and practiced in the cement pond. He also calls him Jethro Toad.
He was small when he moved in. Not anymore.
I had to clean out the pond today because it was pretty gunky. This is a photo of Jethro looking not so happy with me. I had bailed out most of the water and he had nowhere to go. I scooped him out and placed him under the bush. He hung out with me for a while. My guess is he’s back at the bottom of the pond by now.
