Today is my birthday.
It started out with some of my favorite people for breakfast at a McDonald’s – no where near where we live. That meant we had to get up at 5:00 a.m. But it was worth it. Several are WWII veterans. I don’t ever want to miss a chance to visit with them. They meet every morning at 6:00. But Saturday’s they sleep in and meet at 7:00. Daddy calls it, “Going to Coffee.”
When we got home, we piled the dogs in the car and took them for a hike in the woods. It was cool, wet and foggy. Great light for a photo. Five miles later, we were back in the car – the dogs dragging and my sister limping.
Next, dinner at our favorite Italian restaurant and then to the inlaws’ to watch the Alabama vs. Mississippi State football game.
It will be – and has been – a fun-filled day.
Oh, the photo was taken at the North Chickamauga Creek Greenway. A great place to hike, bike, canoe, fly a kite or walk your dog.
