Nikki’s, an old-fashioned hamburger joint, is a landmark in Chattanooga. It opened in the 40s and hasn’t made many changes since. (You still cannot pay for your meal with anything other than cash.) My father and I meet there frequently for lunch, and both of us always order the same thing: He gets a hamburger,Continue reading “Nikki’s Drive Inn – Snapshot of the Day, No. 53”

Patio Raindrops – Snapshot of the Day, No. 52
It rained a LOT today, but was subsiding as we were finishing up with dinner at Big River. These drops of water were like beads on a necklace. They were very pretty, so I could not resist.
Miss Lilly – Snapshot of the Day, No. 51
We finally took the time to take the dogs for a walk today. One dog likes water and the other one does not. Lilly loves to get in the water, especially if she is hot. It was not hot to us today, but to a part-Husky, it must have been pretty warm. 69 degrees IContinue reading “Miss Lilly – Snapshot of the Day, No. 51”
Dinner Cruise – Snapshot of the Day, No. 50
We went to a party tonight on our local dinner cruise boat, so I thought I’d bring my camera along to find my snapshot of the day. These four people were engrossed in a conversation and never noticed my taking their photo. It’s interesting looking at what is going on here. The top two haveContinue reading “Dinner Cruise – Snapshot of the Day, No. 50”
Railroad Bridge – Snapshot of the Day, No. 49
At the risk of getting hit by a car, I decided to pull over to shoot a photo of this bridge. Lots of people pull off the road here to fish, so I thought I’d be relatively safe – sort of. I am usually the one who shakes my head whenever I drive by allContinue reading “Railroad Bridge – Snapshot of the Day, No. 49”
Spice Rack — Snapshot of the Day, No. 48
I think I finally found a spice rack I actually like! This one is pretty cool. I love the pattern the lids make together. And the colors of the spices are beautiful. It would make a great painting, if I could paint.
Mason Jar — Snapshot of the Day, No. 47
No particular story with this image. I just liked the light and color.
Anna – Snapshot of the Day, No. 46
This is Anna. She is a friend’s cat who is extremely interested in her treats in this shot. It was such beautiful light, I couldn’t resist.
Discarded Newspapers – Snapshot of the Day, no. 45
It was really windy this morning. So windy in fact, most of our papers from the dumpster blew out and into the street for a couple of blocks. It looked good, too. Trash everywhere. Great. But it also seemed to symbolize the newspaper industry’s demise in general. At least in print form. Gone with theContinue reading “Discarded Newspapers – Snapshot of the Day, no. 45”
Super Hero – Snapshot No. 44
Our Super Hero neighbor. He frequently sports a cape and wings for his shoes. Today it was the cape. This is what I saw when I walked into the entry hall. Although this is a lousy photo, I got some really good ones later on. He’s a great subject. While “helping” us later in theContinue reading “Super Hero – Snapshot No. 44”
