We went for a walk in my old neighborhood today and met this lovely lady, Bonnie. We had a nice chat as we walked with her before she turned around to go back home. I think this shot would have been better with a longer lens, but I did not have one with me. OhContinue reading “Bonnie – No. 30”

Seventh and Market – Shot of the Day, no. 27
My plan today was to shoot an entryway into a cafe that is inside one of our downtown buildings. To my surprise, it no longer exists. Great. So I turned around and shot a gentleman walking down the street. Ironically, I used to work in the building on the left back in the early 80s.Continue reading “Seventh and Market – Shot of the Day, no. 27”
The Cleaning Lady – Snapshot of the Day, No. 26
There is something about this food court that keeps bringing me back. When it first opened in the newly remodeled Warehouse Row, I would walk down from where I work to get design ideas for my husband’s and my new home. I love looking down on these typewriter key stools and watching people talking andContinue reading “The Cleaning Lady – Snapshot of the Day, No. 26”
Scenes from the Bluegrass Grill sidewalk – Snapshot no. 21
Another positive aspect of this little project of mine – finding establishments I did not know existed. The Bluegrass Grill looks like a really cool place to eat. I will definitely try it out one day for lunch.
Construction Junction – Day no. 20
Across the street from the famed Chattanooga Choo-Choo, (see reflection) there is construction going on for…. something. I was able to walk around for a few minutes today during a work break. I noticed a lot of construction going on in this area, better known as the Southside. This window was white-washed with something, makingContinue reading “Construction Junction – Day no. 20”
Birds on a Wire – Snapshot, day 18
We have a grainery behind our building, so naturally lots of birds frequent the area. Consequently, we get the occasional cat, as well. This image sort of reflected my mood today, so I suppose it is appropriate to be the photo of the day.
Snapshot of the Day – Crosswalk
My window of opportunity for taking my daily snapshot was very small today. I had to settle for a quick shot out of a window that has not been washed in a while. I stood there a few minutes in hopes someone with a red or yellow umbrella would walk by, but that never happened.Continue reading “Snapshot of the Day – Crosswalk”
Leaving the market
I had to run an errand during work today, so I decided to stop at this market to see what I could find for my project. Only after I took the photo did I realize there was a man in the upper window looking down at the lady crossing the street.
Latest inspiration
The good news is the house my husband and I have been renovating for the past two years has finally sold. To celebrate the day we closed, we went to lunch with his sister at a fairly new restaurant in town called Champy’s. Even though I work one block away, I had never been toContinue reading “Latest inspiration”
