I walked through the revolving door at Bonefish Grill this afternoon and apparently stepped through a time warp. Actually the waitress was brining me the gift card I had ordered.

Wooden Villains – Snapshot of the Day, No. 318
Nutcrackers. They don’t bother me as much as they used to, but still…. I wouldn’t want to be left alone in a room with one of them. At least ours is not holding a weapon. And he has a rather pleasant expression on his face – so I guess he can stay.
No Diving – Snapshot of the Day, No. 317
“Diving into the shallow end or slopes leading to hopper bottom may result in serious injury or death. That’s what the entire sign says. Good to know. I’ll try to be careful. I found another sign in our garage years ago. It’s a metal sign for what I think is an old gas station. OneContinue reading “No Diving – Snapshot of the Day, No. 317”
Pups on Parade – Snapshot of the Day, No. 316
We went to the Mainx24 Christmas parade today. Mainx24 is an all-day festival, complete with a dog walk. I’m not sure our two would have done very well with all of those other dogs. They tend to be a little wild. But it sure did look like the dogs were having fun. Now Lilly doesContinue reading “Pups on Parade – Snapshot of the Day, No. 316”
Raising the Roof – Snapshot of the Day, No. 313
We have a new roof – after several years of needing one. This is a view of our deck during the second day of the job. (it’s been raining, so it took a little longer than usual) The fruit stays in the window sill since Joe usurped the fruit basket for his bills.
Old School – Snapshot of the Day, No. 312
We were all given hams for Christmas today at work. And even though I don’t eat ham, I went and got mine anyway. I’ll give it to my or Joe’s family for our Christmas dinner. But anyway the hams were being given out in the garage. This is one of the rooms we had toContinue reading “Old School – Snapshot of the Day, No. 312”
Black Hawk Monday – Snapshot of the Day, No. 311
Hmmm. Was the U.S. Army needing something? OR, is Wal-Mart selling these things now? Original ticket price, $13 million. But for a limited time only, $32.99!
Bonnie & Clyde Were Here – Snapshot of the Day, No. 310
We were involved in the Soddy-Daisy Christmas Parade and passed this old car. Wow! Obviously it’s been sitting there a while.
Back Door Papers – Snapshot of the Day, No. 308
This is the door I come in through at work. Why there were so many newspapers stacked in the stairwell is beyond me. I stopped asking questions long ago – out loud at least. Did we get more orders than usual – OR did we lose some? It’s probably some other good reason, right?
Thanksgiving Hors d’oeuvres – Snapshot of the Day, No. 307
Today was Thanksgiving. We went to my sister-in-law’s house for lunch. (We went to my father’s for dinner later on – so we had to pace ourselves with the food.) Anyway, she always puts out a lot of snacks before the meal, and this table is generally where everyone congregates most of the time. IContinue reading “Thanksgiving Hors d’oeuvres – Snapshot of the Day, No. 307”
