Ever since our tree hit our house, we have had new light coming into the kitchen in the morning. Well it was just a limb; albeit a pretty large one, but it definitely has affected the light in the kitchen. I thought it was pretty hitting my bedroom slippers this morning.

Cigars, Gifts & Accessories – Snapshot of the Day, No. 172
I’ve always liked this street – Cherry Street. It’s got an old-world charm to it. I had a few extra minutes today at work, so I slipped out in search of a good photo. Nothing was really presenting itself to me, so I put the ole’ Lensbaby on the camera and made the scene aContinue reading “Cigars, Gifts & Accessories – Snapshot of the Day, No. 172”
Pedestrian Bridge – Snapshot of the Day, No. 171
This was taken on the Ruth Holmberg Pedestrian Bridge near the Hunter Museum of American Art. Parts of it are clear plexiglass so you can see the cars going by below the bridge while you walk. This little boy was initially skeptical about crossing, but his father (I’m assuming) coaxed him along.
Reflections Of – Snapshot of the Day, No. 170
I had to run to Southeastern Salvage today for a prop for a photo and could not resist taking a photo of this mirror section. This warehouse has all kinds of stuff from all over the world – AND free popcorn and lemonade on the weekend. What more could you want?
Dragonfly Portrait – Snapshot of the Day, No. 169
So, while out picking blackberries today, we encountered several cool creatures. One was this little dragonfly who did not seem to be afraid of me. He amazingly stood still long enough for me to get his photo. He was so small, I only got a chance to see what he really looks like when IContinue reading “Dragonfly Portrait – Snapshot of the Day, No. 169”
Morning Self-Portrait – Snapshot of the Day, No. 168
The few minutes I have to myself each day is in the morning. I usually use that time to wake up, get rid of my daily caffeine headache and do various chores. This morning was no different – except I noticed I might be able to shoot my snapshot of the day early. Two self-portraitsContinue reading “Morning Self-Portrait – Snapshot of the Day, No. 168”
Ode to Vivian – Snapshot of the Day, No. 167
I couldn’t resist shooting this. It’s a direct copy of a photo by my new favorite photographer, Vivian Maier. But since I couldn’t find anything else, I decided to use it as a tribute to her. Be sure to check out the trailer of an upcoming documentary on her life. There is also a newContinue reading “Ode to Vivian – Snapshot of the Day, No. 167”
Bottles – Snapshot of the Day, No. 166
I was given these bottles years ago, but I recently found them packed away in a box – where they’ve been for the past four and a half years. I had forgotten I even had them. Which makes me wonder, if half of the stuff I own was gone, would I even miss it? ProbablyContinue reading “Bottles – Snapshot of the Day, No. 166”
Sharin’ A Coke – Snapshot of the Day, No. 165
My father and I went to lunch together today at Nikki’s – An old-fashioned diner. I could not resist taking a photo of these two having lunch together. I’m assuming they are father and son.
So Hungry – Snapshot of the Day, No. 164
Location, location, location. This sign just needs better placement. I’m assuming Crave is a new food vendor in the basement of Warehouse Row; but I have not been inside in quite a while, so I’m not really sure. This was shot after hours, so I’ll have to return during operating hours.
