I was given these bottles years ago, but I recently found them packed away in a box – where they’ve been for the past four and a half years. I had forgotten I even had them. Which makes me wonder, if half of the stuff I own was gone, would I even miss it? ProbablyContinue reading “Bottles – Snapshot of the Day, No. 166”

Sharin’ A Coke – Snapshot of the Day, No. 165
My father and I went to lunch together today at Nikki’s – An old-fashioned diner. I could not resist taking a photo of these two having lunch together. I’m assuming they are father and son.
So Hungry – Snapshot of the Day, No. 164
Location, location, location. This sign just needs better placement. I’m assuming Crave is a new food vendor in the basement of Warehouse Row; but I have not been inside in quite a while, so I’m not really sure. This was shot after hours, so I’ll have to return during operating hours.
Flower Shadows – Snapshot of the Day, No. 163
I found the perfect photo of the day while shopping today. It was of a little girl posing in front of a mirror in the middle of Banana Republic. I could not get my camera phone out quickly enough and missed the shot. She apparently grew tired of her charade and walked off. Drat. ThatContinue reading “Flower Shadows – Snapshot of the Day, No. 163”
RAIN – Snapshot of the Day, No. 162
I have come to one conclusion: It’s never going to stop raining.
Railroad Bridge Murals – Snapshot of the Day, No. 161
I’m sure someone knows the story behind these paintings, but I do not. I Googled it, but had no luck. They are on abandoned railroad bridge supports (I’m assuming since they run parallel to an active rail line) half a block down from the newspaper. So you’d think I’d know. This area was formally knownContinue reading “Railroad Bridge Murals – Snapshot of the Day, No. 161”
Rainy 4th – Snapshot of the Day, No. 160
Today is the 4th of July – and it rained all day long here. Hard rain, too. It was semi-cold outside, as well. Not like last year’s 4th where it was 106 degrees. No pool. No lake. No boat ride. NO sunshine. We did have some fireworks. They DO go off in the rain. That’sContinue reading “Rainy 4th – Snapshot of the Day, No. 160”
Sew Much Fun – Snapshot of the Day, No. 159
This is a jar full of spools of thread in the window of a shop I’ve visited with my camera before: O.C. Buckles & Co. (I’ll try to find a link in the morning) Anyway, it’s a pretty cool shop that appears to teach sewing. I’ll try to go inside when they are actually openContinue reading “Sew Much Fun – Snapshot of the Day, No. 159”
Letters – Snapshot of the Day, No. 158
On our walk today, we came across this cool mailbox. I thought it had a lot of character, so I decided I’d shoot it. Plus I was running out of time and had to be at work.
Bumper Crop – Snapshot of the Day, No. 157
We have several berry bushes in our yard; these, of course, being from our blackberry bush. We pick blackberries around our neighborhood (in the woods) throughout the summer and freeze them for future cobblers. (Recipe to come later) We have to compete with deer, chipmunks and pesky squirrels for our berries. If we’re not careful,Continue reading “Bumper Crop – Snapshot of the Day, No. 157”
