As luck would have it, I forgot my lunch today. So, darn it, I HAD to go to Panera and get my favorite sandwich, the Frontega Chicken panini. Meanwhile, I thought I’d use this time to grab my photo of the day. Hmmm. Where to go? There is a cool shop right around the cornerContinue reading “Being a Girl at Betty’s – Snapshot of the Day, No. 111”

Folsom Prison – Snapshot of the Day, No. 110
For over a year now, Joe and I have eaten more than once at Big River at Hamilton Place mall. It’s very close to my old house that we are renovating, and the food is very good. We usually split something, so it doesn’t cost us much. BUT we have a Passport card, so weContinue reading “Folsom Prison – Snapshot of the Day, No. 110”
Girl in the Polka Dotted Dress – Snapshot of the Day, No. 105
My eyes got wide when I saw this little girl in the polka dotted dress standing on these cobblestones. She and her family were waiting outside for a table at a restaurant downtown called Urban Stack. They have burgers and chicken sandwiches. Mostly burgers. But the chicken sandwich is really, REALLY good. I recommend it. ButContinue reading “Girl in the Polka Dotted Dress – Snapshot of the Day, No. 105”
Wigging Out – Snapshot of the Day, No. 101
Years ago when I would take a lunch hour ( now I just eat while I work so I can leave work early), I’d walk to the river and back to get exercise and clear my head. Work was / is very stressful, so it was always nice to get out to give myself aContinue reading “Wigging Out – Snapshot of the Day, No. 101”
“High Four” – Snapshot of the Day, No. 96
The first photo of this scene did not work out. A mother and daughter were looking at this sculpture when the younger son walked right in front of the dog as I was taking the photo. That’s no good. You couldn’t see the dog at all. So I……”scratched” it. Pun intended. Anyway, right after that,Continue reading ““High Four” – Snapshot of the Day, No. 96″
Main Terrain – Snapshot of the Day, No. 94
Today I went to our new downtown park called Main Terrain. I walked inside of it and found these fellows playing on the rings. It’s a park – slash – exercise-stationed place. It is really pretty nice and peaceful. I wanted to include all of them along with the entire ring station; but consequently, I’m notContinue reading “Main Terrain – Snapshot of the Day, No. 94”
Brainerd Tunnel – Snapshot of the Day, No. 90
I took this today on my way to East Brainerd after work. This is one of the Brainerd Tunnels which go under Missionary Ridge – a Civil War battle site. Anyway, I got stuck in this tunnel years ago on a Friday night around midnight. I was on my way home from working late atContinue reading “Brainerd Tunnel – Snapshot of the Day, No. 90”
Zoo Guests – Snapshot of the Day, No. 88
I suppose they were excited when they first got there. But these two look as if the heat is getting to them. They, I assume, are with their mother on an outing to visit the Chattanooga Zoo. Even though it is still April, it was fairly hot today.
Moe Monday – Snapshot of the Day, No. 87
Ok. It was the end of the day and I was running out of light. We were at Moe’s for dinner since it was Monday – $5.00 burritos! A must for us. Anyway, while standing in line, I noticed a woman using her phone outside holding a leash. Hmmm. I knew something cute had toContinue reading “Moe Monday – Snapshot of the Day, No. 87”
Alley in Rain – Snapshot of the Day, No. 82
This is an alley between a parking garage and an older building downtown. It was dumping buckets of rain, although you cannot tell that here. This was the best I could do today – and with my cell phone no less. Time to get a new lens when my phone camera gives a sharper image.
